A playful mix of Yoga styles for children

Children's yoga at Saiyaara Yoga

Yoga isn't just for adults! At Saiyaara Yoga, we offer children's yoga, integrating different yoga styles to help children grow, learn, and relax. Children's yoga at Saiyaara Yoga is designed not only to be physically active but also to support children's emotional and mental development. We use principles and techniques from various yoga styles, tailored to the needs of children, so they can experience a balance of strength, flexibility, focus, and tranquility.

How different yoga styles shape our children's yoga

Yin Yoga for Children

Yin Yoga for children involves holding poses for extended periods of time to stretch deeper into their connective tissue and joints. This can be integrated into relaxation exercises at the end of the class, for example, where children learn to calm down and feel. This helps them develop not only physical flexibility but also emotional resilience by learning to manage stillness and patience.

What do we do at Saiyaara Yoga?

At Saiyaara Yoga, we combine these different yoga styles in a playful and accessible way. Our goal is to help children become stronger both physically and mentally, while learning to relax and listen to their own bodies and feelings. Through creative and fun exercises, stories, music, and visualization, children gain the tools to develop greater self-confidence, improve concentration, and learn to manage emotions like stress or frustration.

In our children's yoga classes, we promote not only children's physical health but also their emotional and mental well-being. By offering yoga in a playful way, children learn to manage their emotions in a healthy way while simultaneously developing stronger and more flexible bodies.

Yoga Nidra for children

Yoga Nidra is a form of deep relaxation and is often presented as a guided meditation for children. This can help them calm and focus their minds, perfect for improving concentration and developing a sense of calm. Children learn to become aware of their bodies and breathing, entering a state of "conscious sleep" where they are completely relaxed yet remain alert.

Vinyasa Yoga for children

Hatha Yoga for children

Hatha Yoga focuses on slowly and controlled postures. In our children's yoga classes, we teach children simple, playful asanas (yoga poses) that they can visualize, for example, as animals or natural phenomena. These gentle and delicate movements help children develop their flexibility, balance, and strength.

Vinyasa Yoga uses flowing movements combined with breath. In children's yoga classes, for example, we can tell stories that help children get into a flow of movement, such as creating a flow of animals or nature movements. This helps children improve their concentration, get to know their bodies better, and gather energy in a playful way.
