Frequently asked questions
Children's yoga is a special form of yoga adapted to the needs and developmental stages of children. It combines physical postures, breathing exercises, play, and relaxation to promote children's physical, emotional, and mental health. Children's yoga helps develop strength, flexibility, balance, concentration, and inner peace.
For yoga classes, we ask that your child wear comfortable, easy-to-move clothing, such as athletic shorts and a t-shirt. We recommend bare feet or socks with non-slip soles. Make sure your child's hair is securely tied back in a ponytail or braid. See our dress code for more details.
Yes, you can register your child using our registration form on the website. It's important to register on time so we have enough space in the class. If the class is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list, and you will be notified.
Our children's yoga classes last approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age group and the type of class. This provides enough time for a good session without the children feeling tired.
At Saiyaara Yoga, the focus is on creating a calm and safe environment for children. We often begin the class with a moment of silence, like Namaste , to get the children in the right mindset. The class includes breathing exercises, yoga poses, games, and relaxation techniques. We use music and visual elements, such as our mascot Suri the Owl, to make the classes playful and engaging.
We have a maximum of 12 children per class . This allows us to provide personalized attention and create a safe, effective learning environment for each child.
If your child is unable to attend, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance . We cannot make up the missed lesson, but your child can be replaced by a friend or sibling.
The course fee must be paid in advance . You will receive an invoice by email. It is important to pay on time to confirm your registration. More information about payments can be found on the website.
Yes, in addition to group classes, we also offer individual children's yoga coaching . These sessions are designed to support children with specific challenges, such as difficulty concentrating, stress, or emotional difficulties. Contact us for more information about these options.
We are working on a future partnership with the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture , so that parents with low incomes can receive financial support for participating in our yoga classes. Once everything is arranged, we will provide more information on our website.
At Saiyaara Yoga, we strive to make yoga accessible to everyone. If your child has any special needs, such as physical or mental health, please let us know when you register. We can then work together to determine how best to adapt the classes to maximize their benefits.
We begin our classes with the Gayatri Mantra , a peaceful and powerful mantra that helps us focus and calm down. It's not a religious mantra, but one that invites concentration, light, and inner peace. We use this mantra to create a calm and respectful atmosphere in which the children can open up to the yoga class.
