A universal source of peace and focus at Saiyaara Yoga
The Gayatri Mantra
I strive to support children in developing a healthy mind and body through yoga. In a playful way, I want to inspire them to make yoga a part of their daily lives, so they can build self-confidence, focus, flexibility, and inner peace. My goal is to provide them with the tools and skills they need to manage emotions, reduce stress, and thrive in an increasingly demanding world.

At Saiyaara Yoga, we begin every children's yoga class with a short, peaceful meditation reciting the Gayatri Mantra. This ancient mantra comes from the Vedas, the ancient Indian scriptures, and has been used for thousands of years as a source of inspiration, clarity, and inner peace.

Although the Gayatri Mantra has its roots in the spiritual tradition of India, we use it in a completely open and universal way, without religious meaning or affiliation. At Saiyaara Yoga, the well-being and inner balance of every child is central – regardless of cultural background or faith. For us, the mantra is a tool to help children focus their attention inward, find peace, and approach yoga class with focus and positivity.

What does Gayatri Mantra mean?
The words of the Gayatri Mantra are designed to invoke light and wisdom to clarify our consciousness. It not only helps calm the mind but also improve focus. The mantra is spoken in a calm and simple way, allowing children to learn to connect with their breath and sounds. Chanting this mantra promotes a sense of safety, peace, and positivity during the yoga session.

The Gayatri Mantra goes like this:
"Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat"
In simpler terms, the mantra helps to invoke the inner light of wisdom and clarify our thoughts.
Why is the Gayatri Mantra suitable for Saiyaara Yoga ?
At Saiyaara Yoga, we strive to create a safe, inclusive space where every child feels welcome and valued. We use the Gayatri Mantra not as a religious ritual, but as a universal tool for peace, focus, and connection. The intention is always open, loving, and connecting.
Parents and children of all backgrounds are warmly welcome at Saiyaara Yoga. We believe that yoga, including the use of mantras, can positively contribute to the well-being of every child, without any religious significance.
